i guess it's appropriate to use the first post in a blog to explain how/why it's named the way it is.
back in high school, my friends and i were very much into ren and stimpy, and even now, i'm known to mutter the phrases, 'no, sir...i don't like it,' and/or 'steeempy! you eeeeeediot!' from time to time. i also have a weird-al-yankovic-ian tendency to alter song lyrics in amusing (to me, anyways) fashions. obviously, it didn't take long for me to start singing the log song [.mp3 133.3 Kb] about blogs, instead. i even tweaked the chorus a bit:

sometimes, it's misunderstood. - it's blog, blog,
it's better than bad, it's good! - everyone's got a blog!
you're gonna love it, blog! - come on and get your blog!
everyone needs a blog!
unfortunately, that's the extent of my creative abilities (i'm very left-brained....or is it right?...i can never remember...)
just to be clear, this blog is NOT going to be about the ren & stimpy show. it was just the inspiration for the name. actually, i don't really have any plans for this blog, but i'm sure it'll have some not-so-deep-thoughts, rants, recommendations....stuff like that....we'll see where it goes...
oh yeah...and if you did decide to play the log song and now find you can't stop playing it and/or you get it stuck in your head and/or you start singing it in your head every time you hear a word that rhymes with log (can you tell i speak from experience?), i'm sorry....
